"My art reflects how I see the world, whether it is through a realist's eye or understood as an impression or representation. I have a BA in history from Bates College. Following graduation I spent a year studying in Greece and have returned four times since- once on an archaeological dig. I also completed coursework at the graduate level in landscape architecture and architecture. Following the years of formal study, I have taken courses primarily in drawing and watercolor painting, but enjoy using other media as well. In my work I attempt to show the journey I have taken using my own creative imagination and the influences I have acquired from studying the works of other artists."
